My story

My journey into The MindBody Reconnect work began through my own experience of chronic symptoms.

In 2010, I developed fibromyalgia and found myself navigating a world of pain, fatigue and uncertainty. Like many people, I sought help through my GP and underwent a range of investigations. Thankfully, the tests came back clear, but I was still left struggling with symptoms that were having a significant impact on my life.

I was advised to manage my condition, pace myself carefully and learn to live within my limitations. Whilst this advice was well intentioned, I found myself becoming increasingly fearful of my symptoms and what they might mean for my future.

Deep down, I felt there had to be more to the story.

I wanted to understand why my body was producing these symptoms and whether recovery was truly possible.

As I learned more about the connection between the brain, body, emotions and symptoms, my fear began to reduce, my confidence returned, and I was able to return to living a full and active life.

The impact of that experience was so profound

I felt called to train as a Mind Body Reconnect Practitioner so that I could support others facing similar challenges.

Since qualifying in 2022, I have worked with clients both online and in person, helping them develop a deeper understanding of their symptoms and rebuild trust in their bodies.

One of the greatest privileges of my work is witnessing people rediscover freedom in their lives.

Seeing someone move beyond fear, reconnect with themselves and begin living more fully again is something I never tire of.

Before becoming a practitioner, I worked as a hairdresser, a role that taught me the value of listening, connection and creating a space where people feel comfortable being themselves. Those qualities continue to shape my work today.

I am also a mother of two daughters and love dancing, something I was able to return to after my own recovery.

My approach is warm, compassionate and grounded in both professional training and lived experience. I understand how overwhelming persistent symptoms can feel, and I also know how much can change when we begin to understand them differently.

If you’re ready to explore a new way of understanding your symptoms and take the next step towards recovery, I would be delighted to support you.
